I�ve had the joy of dealing with trigger points, and the onset is still a bit of a mystery. I created a helpful FAQ on what they are all about, including treatment. BTW, if you don�t have the Trigger Point workbook, it�s a must read, see http://www.triggerpointbook.com/ By careful management, massage and exercise, trigger points are no longer an issue for me!

I�ve read some research that hormone levels can be related to many (if not all symptoms) of fibromyalgia. Check out this article:

Girija, you say that you are semi-disabled. Are you able to exercise at all? What can you do to stay active?
