I smoked between 1-1 1/2 paks a day for 8 years & quit cold turkey on New Year's Eve & happened to be the designated driver that night. It was the hardest thing I ever had to do. No one thought I would be able to do it but I stuck with it just to prove them wrong! The downside of quiting for me was that I became addicted to candy canes for a few months. All I can suggest is to keep some sugar free hard candy around & if you feel that urge to smoke, pop a candy. I wish you the best on your road to becoming smoke free.
