Hotel near Barcelona Spine Center Qiuron Hospital

I was told that the Ako was good; can any body give me a list of hotels where you stayed? I like 4 star, if that says anything. Of course this is not a pleasure trip, but it would be nice to relax someplace nice!:confused:

You don't get a lot for your money for a hotel with a per diem rate.

There are apartments however where you can get great deals from private parties. May want to get a travel agent on board for that.

El Comte was okay after I left AKO. Just down the road from AKO. That said, shower not nearly as great however.

I stayed at AKO. in the back at first and then after surgery, on the 5th floor at the front, overlooking the street. The room was much nicer than my first room, so ask for top floor, front. The hotels are not that big, not like here, and you will be in for a surprise when you see the layout of the room. The front dest is familiar with Dr Clavel and the hospital, so they were a great help getting cabs and directions to places. They were great and very helpful.

We've been Barcelona 3tines in the past 3 years and stayed 2 times stayed at AKO, and once at the Gallery Hotels. Both are nice. I think AKO is better for a medical stay, IMHO.

We are staying there the night we arrive and then after the 2 night at the hospital and again for the last 6 nights. Thanks for the affirmation!

I stayed at Catalonia Park Güell, Barcelona. 5 minute walk to the Spine Centre, quiet, clean, cheap (~$75/night). I think it is a 3-star. I was happy with it.

After that, I stayed at El Comte, I believe. $100/night.

Would do a rental next time though. Much better deals with better space.

We have discussed if we go back here on vacation to see outside Barcelona; we'd stay here again. That roof top terrace was so relaxing and the service was outstanding! Central Central Central location too!

Yes it's right off the promenade... You can see across the street to Condes and it's right off the same corner block with Gaudi museum. You can see the Sagrada Família from the roof top lounge...
