As the president tries to get our economy back on track, it is only a matter of time before the healthcare behemoth is attacked from all legislative sides...:eek2:

In the meantime, I recently changed insurance plans and it was not easy. Here are a few ideas relative to choosing a new insurance plan:

This site offers some tools to find all kinds of different insurance plans: http://www.healthinsurancefinders.com/ (http://www.healthinsurancefinders.com/)
I used a similar site to compare the prices among different insurance companies in the state of Mass. The attached doc shows the prices for two people (me and my spouse). I believe the prices vary widely between states; I’d be curious what other people are paying.
The first topic (http://www.adrsupport.org/forums/showthread.php?t=8459) in this forum provides a list of insurance companies that provide insurance coverage for ADR; this list is old but is a good reference and starting place when comparison shopping.
Hope this helps! What other folks paying for monthly insurance premiums? How much is subsidized by your employers?

I had Aetna with out of network coverage. I had to pre-pay Stenum out of my pocket.

Included in my submission to Aetna were the following;
1. Included the surgery detailed bill from Stenum.

2. I then added a cover letter with the complete history of my back, including the different treatment options that i could have done instead of ADR.

3. I also included the x-rays from Stenum.

4. I also included the email correspondance from Stenum with the surgeons.

5. I also included my Bank of America Money transfers to Stenum.

Then I submitted this large package to Aetna. Starting a month after submission I called them every week.

In the end Aetna paid 100% and even late interest. I am very happy with them.
