Let me see,... you are taking a laxative pill, a gerd pill, a muscle relaxer (one of it's uses) and 325 Percocet. Usually the 325 describes the amount of acetaminophen in the pill. What is the mg dosage of the narcotic content? I'm not a doctor, but I would assume it is at least 5 mg. They should be able to give you something stronger if that is all you have.

its the 5mg

I'm ex-military and in my experience, the military docs are notoriously conservative when it comes to pain medications. 5mg every 4-6 hours is probably baseline for pain after a spinal surgery. Your surgery was a multilevel fusion, so I would think you may need something stronger at least in the short term. Let me say again that I am not a doctor, but I am a patient of multiple spinal procedures so my opinion is from personal experience. The ER is your best bet if your surgeon is unwilling to find a way to get your pain under control.

Hang in there...

LOL I have been to the ER before here at William Beaumont and it was not a good thing. It was for a deep cut in my face that was bleeding really bad and I wasn't even seen for 12 hours. instead I was told to clean my self up because I was scaring some of the other people that were up there with all the blood. When I finally was seen they stitched me up and gave me Ibuprofen.

you won't get far in any emergency department requesting roxicodone, or any specific narcotic at all. go in asking for help, tell the truth, and you'll get a lot more help.

you really should start with your surgeon though... this soon post-op your surgeon should have a plan. be persistent!!!

Went in the other day to get the staples out and means that the doc was on con leave himself I was told to go the emergency room to get something to help with the sleep and maybe something better for the pain. All the did was give me ambien and up my dosage of percs. Problem is I'm almost out of pain meds ( wife was helping control the dosage for me so I was taking them as prescribed) and now soon I have to go in for a sleep study. The fact that I can not sleep on my stomach anymore greatly increased my sleep apnea. Sad thing is that my wife and I have not been able to sleep in the same room since the surgery due to my snoring and stopping breathing through out the night. Oh well Sleep apnea is an automatic 50% dissability from the army.

How is your pain? Are you going to get a new tattoo over the old one?
