Hello All,

As you see below I've been in severe chronic pain for over two years. I've spend countless hours in doctors, therapies. Countless $$ on accupuncture, copays, babysitters etc. I do not want to live like this anymore.

I've been to several doctors and am currently at the what is considered the top Neurosurgery office in Charlotte. I've been to all of spine/orthopedic offices here.

Pending the results of an updated MRI next Saturday, my most recent neurosurgeon is recommending hybrid surgery.

The last surgeon in the same practice as my current one recommended two level ADR and he would "slip in the 2nd one" past insurance.
He'd only done 4 or 5 of these. Frightening.

Nonetheless, I am ready to pursue surgery and insurance hell at this point. And although we aren't rich, I almost want to be denied and "forced" to travel to Germany to get this done. Unless I start finding out about some fabulous success stories with hybrid or two level replacements in the US (preferably on the East Coast) I am seriously considering foreign travel.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Snap, welcome to our global community. I sent you a private message. In the meantime, here's a surgeon I met a while back, some folks here have visited and/or been treated by their practice. Perhaps this is the place you have already visited:

Dom Coric, MD
Carolina Neurosurgery & Spine Associates
970 Queens Road
Charlotte

Reply here or preferably by PM. The next month will be frenetic for me. thx

Snapoutofit-

I read elsewhere that you are leaving Thursday for a 2 level with Dr. B.

We'll all be thinking and praying about you. I hope all goes better than you hope for.

Don
