My husband may join soon
We are having an MRI today and I think it's his L5/S1 as is so common. Would a microdiscetomy since they have to remove a small portion of bone if that would disqualify him for ADR later?
|
duration
his duration of symptoms which are classic have been on going and worsening for over 4 weeks. 2 chiro appts. and a steroid packet have made a dent. His pain is so bad can hardly sit stand or lay down.

Micro dissectomy and ADR later
I had microd. on L4-L5 in 2014 and ADR @ L4-5-1 in 2015.
|
do all micros require removal of some bone/lamina?
|
my understanding
is that micro involves about a nickel size hole to get the instrument in that remove the bulge and holds the nerve out of the way. it is reassuring that some have had adr afterward. thank you for the reply!
