Leaving ADR Support.org

I have posted here since October 2006 prior to my four level ADR surgery. I have been in the counseling profession for over thirty years and believe in the process of giving back to get something in life. I believe you get what you give. I have enjoyed getting to know the many fine people that post here and hope that I have contributed something to your decisions to get well and your recoveries. I do support the overall mission of the forum and believe it is a place to give and get support. Without going in to any details, some issues have come up which necessitate my departure from the forum. I appreciate all that I have received here and wish each and every one of you healthy and happy lives. I will miss many of you and will think back fondly over the many fine people I have had the chance to interact with here.

May God bless you all as richly as he has done for for me and my family. :)

I remain:

Terry Newton

Terry you will be missed here in the community. Thanks for all you have done during your time here and all the help you have given to everyone.

I hope your most recent "flair up" calms down and that you are once again on the road to pain free living.

Dearest Terry

I too am saddened that you are leaving the forum. Not only do you and I have four artifical discs at the same levels but we also have a similar outlook. I, too, believe that one gets out of this life what one gives and you dear Terry have given such a lot. You are one of the world's good men and you have been an asset to this forum and have offered such help and support to many many people with your good humour and words of wisdom. You will certainly be missed my friend.

I am sorry you have to leave us but wish you all the very best for the future. I will think of you and wonder how you are doing (especially on the occassions I am riding my bike) and will look out for any future updates you may post.

Love and peace to you and your family

Lynda

So sad, but best wishes.

Dear Terry,

What a loss for adrsupport. I have not known you long but you are the most faithful supporter of those in need. I have been amazed at the time you spend and the beautiful words and thoughts you give to those in need. You will be sorely missed.

May your good deeds circle back.

Sincerely, Sandy Wade

Terry,

You know how I feel via our emails. I am NOT happy about this situation, and am going to have to pout and stomp my feet for awhile. I wish they're could have been resolution, as you have been such a loyal member, always giving more than getting. And I will always love you for that.

Keep in touch, ok?

Cindylou (I'm gonna go sulk some more)

Please don't go Terry

Hi Terry, I am a lurker on the forum and pop in from time to time. I have always appreciated your thoughtful posts and helpful tone. Please don't leave the forum Terry. I know many people still need your support and knowledge. I hope to post more in the new year. Sherwin

Terry, I have only been a member here for a short while, and I have appreciated much of the very thoughtful advice that you have given to the discussions here. You will be missed, that is clear.

I am sorry that I was not able to get to know you better, but I do hope that you will get some relief from this latest pain. And I hope that life brings you great happiness.

Take care, and be well.
Cathy

Thank you Terry!!

Terry,

I not sure what your reason is for leaving the forum, but I / we will all miss you.

I do have your e-mail and will check in from time to time.

You have given many patients hope when darkness has been upon them.

Happy new year!!!

Todd

PS Thank you God for sending Terry our way.

Terry:
I tried to PM you but couldn't...
I don't know if you have my e-mail address, but would really like to hear from you. I also don't know if you are even checking in to read this thread at this point, but I wanted to thank you for your support, especially with my appeal to HealthNet.

Be well, Terry, and know that you have been appreciated and valued.

Barbara

Terry,

I'm very sorry to hear that you have to leave the forum. As this thread shows, you've been one of the most supportive and positive members here and your leaving is a huge loss for patients.

You have a unique perspective with your personal and professional experience with drugs/alcohol/addiction and you've advised countless patients here concerning medications, as well as encouraged almost every patient with their recoveries.

I think you were the first member I sent a PM when I joined partly b/c of your supportive nature, but mainly b/c I wanted to be biking 2000 miles post-op! If I see someone repeatedly post on another forum about how many miles they rode down to the mile post-op I will laugh knowing it is you!;) Seriously, I do hope you pop up elsewhere to support spine patients.

Take care and I hope things calm down with your SI joints (you could try a SIJ belt... they help stabilize the joints for some people, but didn't do much for me).

All the best,
Liz

Terry,

I am saddened to hear that you are leaving the forum. I know that I don't sign in as often as I should on the forum, but I have always appreciated your input as well as positive thoughts when I needed guidance.

I feel that your leaving is a loss to our community. I wish I could convince you to stay but if this is what you need to do, then I'll understand.

Thank you for all of your contributions to our community. If you want to keep in touch via e-mail, please PM me & I'll send you my info.

Already missing you...

Terry,
I am already missing your input and advice. I guess you are already gone and may not read this; but gotta say my good bye. I don't know why you are leaving; but I have a inkling. I really wish you didn't have to go; but I completely understand, you have to live what you believe. I would love to know what forum you are on? If you can send me a pm or email me jbekme at hotmail dot com I'm gonna miss you! This forum has just lost a huge piece of it. You were such a faithful contributor and it won't be the same without you.
God Bless, Praying your injections work, praying that I get to hear your wisdom again.

Terry,

You have always been a huge source of information, advice and comfort to so many. I'm very sorry to see you go. I hope whatever the situation is that's motivating your leaving the forum resolves itself.

Between you, Justin and Slackwater, I spend most of my time researching and reading "leads" provided by the three of you.

My wife and I both read your note of sympathy to Kbear. That was beautifully written. It brought a tear to her eye and helped her emotionally since she lost her mother last July.

Thank you for all you have done Terry. You will be missed!

Bob

You could start your own ADR site

Terry,

Look at all your followers... with this many people you could be up and running in no time!

God bless you! Your a good man!

Some people think $ is the best gift in life... I see from your history that a big hart is worth more.

Todd
