Laura is going to need more knee surgery at the Alpha Klinik in the near future and we've been caught short and need to scramble to get things set up. In the past for knee and spine trips, we've tried staying at the Sheratons (can't afford them now) and at smaller hotels further away (too far to crutch now). Anyone have experience with a hotel near enough to the Alpha Klinik for their driver to pick up/drop off but less than the 100+ Euros for the Arabellapark Sheraton?

Hi, it's a bit late already - but in case you still need hotel - I could take a look, however at the moment I cannot really recall anything affordable close to Alphaklinik.

I'd apprecate it if you'd check if you have good sources. I've been hitting the internet pretty hard and haven't found anything really affordable but we've got more trips to go.

Did you look at www.bookings.com ? There really aren't many hotels around Bogenhousen.
For Munich plan you can look at this website (it's in German, but quite straight forward to use) http://www.stadtplandienst.de/
Another good source is local Yellow Pages (http://www.gelbeseiten.de/) just enter hotel in 'Was:' and Muenchen, Bogenhausen in 'Wo:'.
I noticed that there is Holiday Inn near-by, it's not so cheap, but cheaper than Arabella Sheraton.
I'd personally suggest to look for hotel in Schwabing and just take a taxi (or public transportation).

Thank you. We just returned from the first of either two or three knee surgeries and stayed in Unterhaching. The hotel was nice and relatively cheap but it was 45 minutes and one bus, one S-Bahn, and one U-bahn ride along with five minutes of crutching. If it was her back, the distance wouldn't be a problem but knees dictate short crutching distances and easier travel. Thank you again.
