parapelvic cysts
Just wondering if anyone has heard of these, or have seen them in a MRI before:
"...Multiple bilateral parapelvic or parapelvic cysts are seen in the kidneys...." This is from an in-law's recent MRI, he went in to see his doc for back pain. L2-L3 demonstrates a broad-based diffuse disc bulge with bilateral exiting nerve root impingement and, left greater than right and bilateral neural foraminal stenosis. Mild facet hypertrophic changes present. L3-L4 shows a diffuse disc bulge, left greater than right, with bilateral neural foraminal stenosis and bilateral exiting nerve root impingement. L4-L5 shows a mild diffuse disc bulge with no nerve root impingement. L5-S1 demonstrates a central to paracentral intervertebral disc protrusion with bilateral descending nerve root impingement. |
I have heard of Tarlov cysts but not parapelvic cysts. Both sound terrible and I wouldn't wish them on anyone! :eek2:
