I was interested in the following referenced article - Hurting Americans Find Relief Overseas:

http://www.newhouse.com/hurting-amer...verseas-2.html

I was most interested in the prices being made for multiple level ADR surgery (seems a lot less than what is discussed on this list) and interested in patient outcomes and expectations. I would like to hear from other reader responses.

I was a 2-level lumbar. My surgery (including travel for two and hotel / expenses) in 2003 was roughly $28k.

I have had nothing less than a miraculous outcome. I was given another chance at life.

PS I noticed Rob Wilson was in the article (he is a member here that posts often). I hope things are getting better for you Rob.

Germany has some of the best docs, but some patients have had very poor outcomes from a certain hospital. Please read these topics -- especially the first one in this FAQ on Stenum.
