I have been in pain since 1999 as the result of a fall at work. I have been told that I need surgery at C3-4, 4-5, 5-6 and that ADR would be best for me. But I have been waiting 2 yrs. for FDA approval. The pain continues to increase and I rely more & more on medication. I have been a virtual hermit for years because of the pain. Now my surgeon wants me have a fusion at 2 levels and I don't want that. I need assistance to find a doctor somewhere, anywhere who can help me. I live in So. Calif., but am willing to go anywhere and see anyone to get help. I appreciate any and all suggestions.

Patrick, you came to the right place -- welcome! You have lots of folks here from Southern Cal that should be able to help/refer you to ther right people, places and docs (assuming the power is back on!?).

Let me know if you do not get the help you need...

Hi Patrick,

I just had surgery with Dr Delamarter in Santa Monica, CA. The day before my surgery he introduced me to one of his patients and showed me her cervical x-ray. It was the cutest little ProDisc I ever did see. See was over a year post-op and very happy and raved about Dr D. Heres a link to his web site.

HI Patrick,

Since your injury occured at work are you being covered through workers' compensation? My L5 was injured at a work training session. The underwriting insurance company agreed to pay for fusion, but not ADR. I had to fight and appeal my case to the state board for ADR authorization. If you have any concerns or issues just let me know. Best wishes with your battle; continue to search this site carefully.

Dr. John Regan is now located in Beverly Hills and works with Cedars Sinai and the new Doctor's Hospital in Century City.

He uses the Charite. Neither Dr. D nor Dr. R accepts ins but the hospitals do. Good luck,
Dale
