Just got off the phone with my insurance company. They will only cover surgeries done in the US by a US doctor and FDA approved devices.
The good thing is they will cover ADR and if I have to have it now the Charite will be my only choice. "Thanks insurance company for helping me with this decision by narrowing my focus." I though research was to broaden you knowledge base. Be careful what you learn it may not comply with their POLIEY. http://adrsupport.org/groupee_common...s/icon_mad.gif One more question posted to them. "If I pay for the best Doctor in the world will you cover my follow-up?" Can't wait for their response. Got a love being a Teacher in the US |
Who is your company?
|
My insurance is Health Comp and Universal Health Review is the authorization company. They said I had to speak with Health Comp re: coverage
Health Comp said this is in the policy that my school district pays into. I live in Nevada I know Im very luck you be covered for ADR in the US. Just disappointed. I will be continuing my European consultation. More answers are needed. http://adrsupport.org/groupee_common...n_confused.gif |
Didn't someone report that their surgery from Dr. Bertagnoli was covered on their Blue Shield or Blue Cross?
|
Blue Cross worldwide access has covered overseas surgeries.

One more question answered:
No follow-up care either if I go out of Country for ADR. This is the American Way isn't it? http://adrsupport.org/groupee_common...s/icon_eek.gif Soooo glad I know all this up front. Mark *** has started dialog with Zeegers and Regan. The best in the US working with the best in the world not bad I might say. Ill take it. I sure could not do this alone. Thanks Mark and Global Patent Network!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
