Introduction and ADR recovery

Hello,
Just wanted to introduce myself. Ive been recovering from an ADR L4/L5 since August of 2014. Still limited in the amount I can do, have to lay down a lot, but Im at least not experiencing the terrible nerve pain anymore.
Anyone have any encouraging words for the recovery? Its been so long since this started I sometimes feel it will never get better.
Thanks...

Which ADR and surgeon did you go with?

I had it done in Costa Rica by Dr. Javier Gutierrez. Surgery itself went great, he always took time to answer all my questions and talk to me about my options. Never once did I feel pressured to have any surgery. Was out of the hospital after 2 days. I would go to him again if I had to have another surgery.

Which disc did you get?

ABC, when you can, pls see:

Some times, we "geek out" and want to know what type/mfr. of artificial disc you receive.

In general, patients choose their spinal surgeon first, but many also choose hardware, and then the surgeon.

You need to look at these, but also a very long list of other factors, too. The most important is addressing your systemic health, which may have allowed the DDD process to continue to where you/we are today.
