does anyone know if the keel slot for the prodisc is a though slot meaning the entire lenght of the vertbrea, or is it a blind slot to prevent the disc from moving front to back?
looking at my x-ray it appears to be a blind slot. chuck |
Chuck,
I don't think they go all the way through. It is a precise measurement of where the notch is chiseled. That is one of the reasons I liked the ProDisc. It took away the doctors gestimations of where to put the plates. It took 6 week for the bone pain to subside for me. Placing the keel is like breaking a bone and I sure know what bone pain feels like and that was what I felt after surgery. It has to be even greater with 2 levels. |
Chuck,
I was told it was a blind slot. Which you and I know, from an engineering standpoint, makes perfect sense. http://adrsupport.org/groupee_common...icon_smile.gif |
makes the best chose. so those plates dont move front to aft.
thanks guys for clearing that up for me. as it looked blind on the x-rays and was one of the only things i forgot to ask. chuck |
