New to ADR Support

Hi All,

I'm a new member to ADR Support, but have read many articles already.
This is a Great site for lots of great information. Thanks so much to everyone that posts here.

Ok, so you've convinced me that Stenum is probably not where I want to go for ADR. I pretty much have my mind made up that the Spinal Kinetics M6-L is the ADR device I'd prefer because I'm a mountain biker and take some really rough trials. Also love SCUBA and hiking. Although am limited on what I can do. Life is kind of like those two fish living in a blender --- Just waiting for some to turn it on and turn me in to ground round. I hate this back problem. Anyway, does anyone know excellent doctors that'll do a three level ADR with the M6-L? My bad levels are L3-4, L4-5 and L5-S1. I'm totally not a candidate for USA surgeries because of the three levels and because I've already had two procedures in the past.

Any help would be great.

Thanks Much.

sghansen,

Condolences on your condition, and welcome.

I've heard of three level lumbar ADR's being done by all of the below:

- Clavel, Spain
- Ritter-Lang, Germany
- Bertagnoli, Germany (not M6)
- Zeegers, Germany (not M6)
- Boeree, England (Dr Boeree is recently deceased, but perhaps his associate, Dare also performs them?)

You can have three level done in the US, it is just that your insurance is absolutely certain NOT to cover it. It will be more expensive here, but because of the risks of going overseas, depending on your risk tolerance, you may want to consider it. If I were intent on staying in the US, I'd start with Dr Zigler at Texas Back in Plano, TX (not M6). Another overseas surgeon that would be worth your time to research is Dr Luis Pimenta in Sao Paulo, Brazil. I don't know if the M6 is available in Brazil.

You can find surgical outcomes from all of these gentlemen on this site.

Good luck, Jeff
