Intro
hello. I just let the dr know I am ready for my surgery. I had a previous fusion about 7 yrs or so ago. It was c5-6. it was going ok but I got rear ended about a year ago. It has been getting worse. I finally saw a neurosurgeon after the cervicalgenic headaches started. I plan on having surgery mid Jan or so. I am planning on the pro disc c at c3/4 and C 6/7. I hope it will settle things down. I understand the recovery is better. My daughter was a nurse on the floor dr has had patients and has a good record. I just got transferred to a position at my school which requires lots of lifting... school says they will have someone help..... I plan on being out at least 4 weeks. I want to heal.... I am 58 yrs old. Any advise:angel:

Hi D, sorry about your situation. You may need more than 4 weeks, but there are so many variables that affect a person's outcome, it's hard to say. How many ADR procedures has that surgeon done? I would try to talk to his patients too.
Way back in 2003, before my 2004 procedure, my doc gave me three spine patients to speak with before I decided. I spoke with each of them. It helped me decide. When you can, pls see this post, let me know if you need help: http://www.adrsupport.org/forums/f58...-health-11053/ |
