New with questions
Been researching ADR for couple years waiting for it to come to states but now they say i'm too old. Anyone around 72 who has had cervical ADR 2 levels done? Anyone with arthritis? Would go tp Barcelona but will not pay up front till have talked to surgeon & know what to expect. Have communicated with younger man who lives nearby me and he had a good experience. Any advice? Thanks MAW |
I went to Dr. Clavel, in Barcelona, and you cannot schedule surgery with him until he has reviewed your files and has talked to you face to face as it were, on Skype. There is a charge for this, 180 euros if I remember correctly, but it will be applied to surgery if you go with him. Are you saying that you are to old for ADR surgery or spine surgery in general? If that is the case, that is too bad as I am sure that it hurts just as bad and you would still like to have movement in your neck. Best of luck and keep us posted.

MAW,
Being over 60 has been a contraindication for ADR in the US. I know the Europeans do it on older patients. When someone goes against a contraindication, the outcome is frequently poor. If you do go abroad, I would strongly encourage you to research and know why that contraindication is in place and why it should not apply to you. Good luck, Jeff |
