it took me over 8 months of fighting UHC and we finally beat them because we asked for an EXTERNAL REVIEW because their "expert" was a peditration that graduated med school in 1960. i mean come on!!!...

Ok so my surgery was approved November 1 and I had my surgery November 22

we fought with UHC lost and then fought again and lost the appeal then an IRO got brought in and made the final decision...

I have UHC and they denied my claim for ADR twice. UHC claims that ADR is experimental... My doctor knew that UHC would deny the claim so his office set me up with an advocate...

Ok so I said that my surgery for ADR is Nov 29... Doctors office called to reschedule it... now its November 22. Im kind of freaking now!!! nervous and yet excited!

Finally approved!

I have UHC and have been fighting with them since April 2011 and as of October 31, 2011 an independent review company (MCMC LLC) reviewed my claim to approve ADR and my request has been approved!

I would have to say that UHC did the same thing with me. I had the first denial upheld and now we are going forward with the second appeal (independent reviewer orginization) and are more hopeful...
