HI, my name is Tim and this is the first time on this site. I have had five surgeries on my neck since 2004. They include: C6-C7 posterior foramenotomy 9/04, ACDF C6-C7 5/05, redo C6-C7 ACDF with C7-T1 ACDF 12/26/05, redo posterior radical foramenotomy C6-C7 C7-T1 with Songar wires at both levels, C5-C6 ACDF 10/06. In other words my DDD combined with my fusions is ruining my neck. Now I have severe left shoulder and neck pain (radiculopathy). MRI shows disc protrusion at C4-C5. Neurosurgeon says my only choice is ADR to stop the progression of the disease. I have plugged into the *** system and am awaiting consultation. Anyone have info on long term cervical ADR outcomes? I have been a Physician Assistant for 20 years and the last 9 years have been in cardiac surgery. Currently I am unable to assist in surgery due to the obvious need for hyperflexion which causes severe pain. I hope to be chosen for ADR so I can possibly get on with my life. Any info would be helpful.
