Well from what I understand, the device company cannot contact me directly. I finally found someone to represent me, so I'm still in the wait and see stage. From what I understand my state has a 3 year standard of limitations which would coincide with the date they are expecting to have approval. Since the vendor stayed in the OR while it was removed, I know that they were aware of the necessity, yet they did not report it. The whole thing has tainted how I feel. If they would have offered to fix it, it would have been different. I was told that I should not expect an apology because that would be an admittance of guilt. While I know this will take a lot of time and effort, I've lost my job because of all of this mess. I'm not a sue-happy person, but there are rules and laws that were put in place in order to protect human subjects. As a result, I feel like I don't have much choice. Thanks for your support. I'll let you know how things go.
