Default New here. Thanks for welcoming me

I’m a 42 year old male With back problems for the past 7 years. In the most recent 3 years I have gone through episodes of acute pain, resulting in having to take meds to subside nerve pain in the legs, being out on my back for 3-5 weeks at a time, barely being able to move.

In the past year I have managed to alleviate most of the pain with conservative methods to proper movement and so forth, but residual pain and inability to be active like I’d like has led me to ADR.

Here is my report from ONZ.

Diagnosis:

Degenerative disc disease (DDD) (dehydrated disc, loss of disc height, herniation) at level L4/5, L5/S1.

Surgical Treatment Plan:

Total discectomy by anterior surgical approach and disc replacement with an artificial mobility disc at level L4/5, L5/S1.

I have a buddy who is there right now getting his procedure done, one level only, but I am hoping to be able to do mine in the new year.
