I am a 35 WF who battled the state of California to have workers' compensation pay for my recommended ADR. I was injured on 9-24-04 during a physical assualt crisis intervention training demonstration. The demonstrator used me as the "student" and shatered my L5/SI disc in the process. Having a professional nurse casemanager helped tremendously. Also, my orthopedic surgeon provided a handbook entitled "A Patient Guide to the Appeals Process". My surgery is scheduled for 7-20-05.
