I switched to Aetna for this reason - I need a 2 level cervical. The 1st submission was rejected due to being "experimental". Dr. Delamarter is in the process of fighting this one for me. If the 2nd submission fails, he is pushing for a peer to peer review of my case. Surgery is 8/13.
IF Aetna still rejects, the difference in cost between a 2 level and a 3 level is small - about $2000 of extra surgery time at the hospital and a bit more to the docs.
