In order for us to better answer your question, as ADR patients, can you insert a signature indicating what kind of surgery you had?
Go to User CP (control panel, upper left link) > Setting & Options > Edit signature > Add 3-8 lines > Save
Regarding fishing, one concern (might be) what actions you may have to take in an emergency -- responding quickly to a problem may be very stressful to your spine?!
