Thx Dan, and my continued apologies to all. The hosting company does appear to be grossly negligent; it's beyond me why they can't fix the problem. I've been advised that they can not support more than 50 concurrent users on this site.
Whatever the excuse du jour, we have been working to move to another hoster. One of the challenges is converting the rest of the
site (done in active server page, or ASP) into straight html. If any techies out there can help with this code transition, pls let me know.
