hello everybody it's been a while since i've posted here. my situation is this. i have a degenerated disc at l5-s1 and saw dr. rick delamarter who felt i was a perfect candidate for prodisc replacement. this injury was caused as a result of a car accident from two years ago and i've been in pain and medicated since. dr.delamarter will not do the operation on a lean against my pending case.
as a result i was referred to dr. michael schiffman who does the same procedure, but i don't know anything about dr.schiffman. has any one on the board had dr. schiffman do a prodisc-l procedure and if so how successful was it or has anyone heard of dr.shciffman good bad indifferent.
thank you very much for any and all comments. i would love to have the surgery done by delamarter, but if scheffman is anywhere near as qualified as delamarter i'd rather not potentially wait 1-4 years with my back pain and missing out on an active life while my case resolves.
thanks again, ray
