From my experience in massage therapy, its very common for nerves to get pinched or irritated due to muscles being stretched too tight or out of sync with the body.
I worked with several clients who after recieving therapeutic massage saw a great reduction in their nerve pain and symptoms after therapy.
Thats not to say medical treatment is not needed but that there are alternatives to medication in a lot of cases or that some therapies can augment what medical treatment can offer
