Hi Eddie
I was hurt several years ago and have moved on from the original injury employer.I was granted a 10% pension by workers comp way back in 1992. They are insisting I have recovered to that level of disability and that there is no reason I should not be back at work - I have been off almost 9 months THIS time. They are refusing to pay for many of my injury-related medications and are ignoring recommendations of my g.p, surgeon and pain doctors. If I don't do something myself, I will be living in chronic pain (7 - 10 out of 10 pain scale on a daily basis)for another 18 years. I since found out, thanks to a member of this forum, there is a surgeon doing 2-level ADR near me, however once the requisition is in, I will have to wait at least a year before seeing him and there is no guarantee he will do anything.I can't wait anymore.I have no confidence in either the healthcare system (and I am a nurse!)nor in WSIB.I won't even get started on that rant...LOL!
