I know our health care systems are different but did your company send you to an "independant medical examiner"? I asked for a choice of a few examiners because of "transportation" issues and then researched the docs and found which ones were ADR friendly. Went to that one and he approved a Charite.
I also went to my company's medical director and had him call the ins. co. on my behalf to get the surgeon and hardware I wanted.
Are you sure that if you pay for it yourself, you're not forfeiting your workers comp claim?
