Wow, what a tough decision. Everything I've heard about the Freedom disc has been great. From what I hear, it is very close to FDA approval. Perhaps you could contact some of the doctors in the trial to see how close it is and how it performed?

Activ L is incredibly strong and sturdy, and from what I hear it does a great job of preserving the facets.

Another factor you might want to take into account is the segment you are getting done. If it's l5-s1, the motion in that segment is relatively small.
