I had to drive 4 hours each way for my 6 week post-op and it nearly killed me. My Mom drove me and we stoped every 1 hour so I could walk around, we spent the night in a hotel and it was still really bad. It sounds like you've been doing a lot. I remember having some bad pain around 8 wks when I walked on sand (it messed up my hip) and I was in so much pain I was in bed for 2 days. I'm great now and that's all a distant memory.

It's just a very l-o-n-g process. It's hard in the begining and it's scary, hang in there and rest more. You can do a lot, but take breaks after each activity, pace yourself.

BTW I'm almost 10 months post-op and if I sit on a plane for 2 hours straight I have to take pain pills... sitting is still hard. Thus, your pain is probably normal.
