Yes, since I've not had ADR surgery, I couldn't tell you about your knee being affected by realignment or ? however, stands to reason that's a possibility.

Both of my patellas are congenitally misalligned and with each back surgery I've had, because of more squatting plus just more generalized post op recovery functioning, my right (bad) knee flared up to the point of re bracing and limping pretty fiercely.

I'd be in PT for one thing, and need it for another at the same time...

My best advice is getting a qualified medical opinion from a good knee specialist. Again, while I do have actual knee problems, I also have irritation from the L4 nerve root that is causing some weakeness above, throughout, and below the knee. It's a mixed bag for me tho yesterday it was obvious to the Ortho that the first step would be some stregthening exercises to help with what I have going on w/the knee. He also made a note to the PT dept re my back and next week will address that during my visit (differing insurances cover each area -WC for low back).

You may have had something going on before surgery that never really was an issue until the change in your gait, stance and so forth, or something new or entirely unrelated going on (tho I tend to think things are related one way or another thru torking, gait, stance and so forth..

Good luck, keep us informed if you are so inclined~ Maria
