Today’s news about “viral meat spray” is off topic, but definitely is concerning for anyone concerned about food safety. It’s posted on the new sister site

Bottom line: The FDA has approved a special spray – a mixture of six special viruses called bacteriophages -- viruses that infect only bacteria, not people, animals or plants. Or at least that’s the intent.
I won’t be in the habit of using the forum to post news on the other one, but it’s so incredibly freaky, I was compelled to share. Enjoy. Or cringe.
