I saw one 30 minute segment last night that was really interesting. It focused on a Pittsburgh hospitals' efforts to eradicate the MSRA bug, something we talked about here. It seems one motivated doctor was really able to change the system (competition between hospitals, building a “business case,” etc.) and beat the bugs! It was great to see heroes in the making…

Recently, while working out at the health club, I ran into an exec from London. He was explaining how serious the MRSA bug was there – in some case, some hospitals were shutting down because of MRSA! Maybe our British members can comment.
