I was saddened to read TCD's recent post, and thought of her when I saw this recent article from Turkey. TCD, forgive the question, is your tumor a fibroid? Whatever the case, I wish you the best outcome!

Back pain in women could be linked to gynecological problems

Published: 11/20/2006 Munich - Women who suffer back pain may have an illness in their reproductive organs.

There is a link between back pain and illness in the reproductive organs in 10 to 20 per cent of back pain cases, said the German professional association of gynaecologists in Munich.
Pain in the lumbar region especially is an indication of an illness in the reproductive organs, particularly if the pain extends like a belt around the sacral bone, groin and frontal stomach wall.

Pain in the abdomen, particularly during urination or sexual intercourse, is also a typical sign of a problem in the reproductive organs, and must be checked by a doctor. It could indicate serious illness in the Fallopian tubes or a tumour. Such problems occur not only in older women. Tumours in the uterus, so called myoma, occur in women in their 30s.
