So far, I would say that you have made good decisions regarding surgery with your back and doing what you can to avoid it (fusion).
I haven't heard where they are at in the clinical trials currently with the Prodisc and Charite and if they are doing some sort of open enrollment at this time. I myself went abroad to have ADR replacement - 10 months ago. Doing pretty good thus far.
It would be interesting to see where the pain is coming from when you get a discogram (eventually). This will help confirm which disc or disc are your pain generators.
