I'm really sorry you have to start over. I'm shure you will make the right decision for you. I just came back from Germany, I had disc replacement at L5-S1 by Dr. Bierstedt. He uses a variety of disc and also the M6. He is an experienced surgeon.

DDD L5-S1- mechanical back pain since 2008, disc herniation same level 2011. Siatic nerv pain and tingling in foot. Stiffness and muscle spasms in lower back.
Conservative treatments for four years only gave me temporarly pain relieve.
November 27th 2012- artificial disc replacement L5-S1 by Neurosugeon Dr. Thomas Bierstedt in Hattingen, Germany 
All my symtoms are GONE!
