Those of us that are knowledge workers (not to be confused with being tethered to PCs and desks) may find this article interesting. If nothing else, it’s a good reminder of common sense practices:

- Don’t sit in ANY position for too long a period
- If you plan to sit most of the day, do go out of your way to get a comfortable, properly supportive chair
- Take frequent breaks to stretch and walk
- Don’t over-extend your neck beyond your upper body when sitting (keep it centered over your body to prevent straining of your neck muscles; scalenes, SCM, etc.)
- Ensure you have a safe, comfortable distance between your eyes and monitor
