I can't believe I am finally here. I was admitted this morning and met with Dr. Fenk-Mayer.She is really awesome and I liked her immediately. I had a very painful discogram this afternoon and all my lumbar discs are degenerated, with L3/4,L4/5 and L5/S1 being the worst pain generators. I am booked for x-rays and an MRI tomorrow and will find out then how many will be replaced. The staff are excellent and try very hard to communicate. They even went out of their way to hook me up to internet. I have absolutely NO second thoughts about coming here for spine surgery. We are staying at the Pension Schrieber. It is very clean, neat and comfortable and I highly recommend it. My husband moves to Pension Sandl on the outskirts of Bogen on Friday as Schrieber is booked. See you on "the other side". Deb

Injured 9/01 Annular tears L4/5 & L5/S1 denied adr by insurance for 2 level charite as well as hybrid fusion at L5/S1 with Charite at L4/5. New ins paid for 2 level lumbar prodisc surgery on 4/7/08 (at age 39) with Dr. Westerlund, at Core Orthop
