I've been talking to a few friends about another gathering. It looks like we'll have a social gathering on the afternoon of Saturday, 10/22/05.

We don't know the details yet, because they haven't been worked out. We'll need some help in getting things organized. Volunteers?

I'd like to keep this near Lynnie... perhaps in Walnut Creek / Concord area? I'll be flying up from Southern California (weather permitting), and may have an extra seat or two if a So.Cal Spiney wants to join us.

I'm not planning on getting doctors to lecture or anything like that... this'll just be a social gathering... just a big spiney hugfest.

Ideas? Volunteers? Venues? ???

Mark

Mark,

Will do my best to make this gathering. If all continues to do well I think I would be able to come down from Tahoe to meet the Northern Cal gang. As a northern Cal native I feel a lot more at home in the Bay.

Look forward to meeting all of you!

Ok, I'll cancel my surgery scheduled for that day. I've always wanted to meet Lynnie in person, we have so much in common.

It would be teriffic to meet with other spineys in my vicinity. To which airport will you be flying? Oakland and San Jose are so much more convenient than SFO. If you are staying in a hotel, would they have a meeting or conference room that would be available for our use? Would they offer group rates if enough people booked a room? We could then use other facilities such as the spa or heated pool, which would be beneficial for those traveling farther distances.

Keep us updated.

I think the date is pretty much fixed already... sorry Spotty. Maybe you can trade with someone?

I wish I could make as I'm close to Walnut Creek, but my sister is getting married that day and I'll be out of town.

Hi Mark,

I think I should be able to make it. It's just for the day, right? My Mom used to live in Clayton, just outside of Walnut Creek. There is a decent Embassy Suites in WC, and the Holiday Inn on N. Main is good too.
