Dear Gang,

I was wondering if any of you have an accounting, business or financial background and can direct me to some resources to help me understand accounting better.

Currently, I am enrolled in an MBA program and come from a nursing background (not business). The books I have are not that great and the professor is only available for lecture mostly. The lectures are filled with a lot of info.

Anyways, all of this is tough on a post ADR spiny's back.

To give those of you familiar with this stuff I will give you an idea of where I am at in my accounting course - I am currently studying the subjects of 1) Budgeting and profit planning, 2) target costing for making pricing decisions, 3)Standard Costing & Balanced Scorecard, 4)Relevant Costs & Benefits

Anyways, that is a start. If any of you can direct me to something that would help - I am all ears.

Sy,
Poncho
