Thumbs up ADRSupport Donations...

If a poor student like myself, can still find money between the cushions to donate to ADRSupport so can you. This forum not only has website hosting fees, but also requires countless hours of moderation/administrative duties by Rich.

Skip a couple cups of coffee at Starbucks, and donate to this great cause.

The forum has helped countless patients including myself on the path to surgery and has also supported patients post-operatively with both positive and negative outcomes.

Keep this forum running and donate today! -- ADRSupport is a non-profit organization helping spine patients around the world.

This online community and its members have helped me greatly.

I agree Justin. I have sent Rich some ideas to show who has decided to support this worthy forum. One is to have the people's names come up in a GREEN color to symbolize money that they did donate. Underneath their name will be the term; "2009 Pledge Member" to demonstrate that they supported the cause. This will help to have all recognized who did contribute and maybe shame the others in to giving a little money as well.

Richard is taking this under advisement but I think it is a sure fired way to put some money in his pocket to support this worthy place.

This place has been a great forum for support and needs to be kept going.

Pay Up People! Let's show Richard our appreciation.

Hey Terry,

It looks like we are on at the same time. I agree with your "Pledge Member" idea.

Rich, if this forum has the option maybe we could implement some of these designations under our screen names:

Just an idea...

Ditto to everything Justin and Terry are saying. I shared my thoughts for donations when I used the tutorial lesson yesterday. Now lets see if I remember anything - well should have taken notes!

Just donated....but I really had to hunt around to figure out how to do it. I'd suggest a big donation link on the home page.

The link to donate is hard to find--it is at the bottom of the Forum Index page on the right hand corner.

Here's a shortcut to make a donation:

Had the same problem Adrienne. Suggested that the links should be more visible for everyday users, at the top of each Forum instead of home page (which does talk about donations), for example. My first trip to the site I evidentally went to the discussion forum and bookmarked that so didn't read the entire home page.

I had no idea that the site was a 401c or that donations were possible or even needed until the post from Harrison. However in talking to him he was afraid that a more in your face request for donations might offend people.

What do you think?

With all the members and visitors a small donation would really add up. Heck, I have learned more here than going to doctors who know nothing, don't help, and I still have to pay for the office visit. A donation equal to one office visit would be cheap.

Default Thanks Everybody

Great ideas all around! It's really kind of you all to offer specific, actionable suggestions. They are now on the "to do" list.

Just to clarify, the Arthroplasty Patient Foundation is recognized by the IRS as a tax excempt 501(c)(3) organization. So your donations that go to this organization are tracked and reported annually.

Hi, so how you all doing? Looks like I dropped in at a good time, to donate.

What I remember was calling around for help and reaching Charite who was real helpful but said if I wanted to really know what was going on in ADR, that I should visit adrsupport.org.

And I did. And I know I would not have gotten fixed without all your help in those early dark days.

So I am glad to throw a little light on the subject,

"When the tide comes in, the whole ship rises",
Thanks for the opportunity.
