Default is approval sought by one office transferable to another?

I'm seeking C-ADR surgery and have UHC which provides coverage. However my question is what if one Doctors office seeks approval and UHC approves and meanwhile I find a different surgeon... does that approval automatically transfer or rather does the approval remain active if I choose a different surgeon to perform the surgery?
Thanks

Default

I called UHC and the answer to my question is... NO. That's because each approval request is handled individually assuming each one has it's own specifics which may or may not be equivalent to the previous approval request. That said...if the first request is approved, the second may get rubber stamped or perhaps not. Depends on several things beyond our control.
