I have to go to Seattle-Tacoma for my doctors appointment. I will be staying at either Madgan Army base or McCord Air Force base, so where to stay is settled. But, what should I do or see, where is a good place to eat that is not seafood (not a seafood eater). Any suggestion are welcome, and thanks in advance. Cathy

Cathy,

If you are not afraid of heights, go up to the top of the Space Needle and have a nice dinner. The views are unbelievable and the food is very good but spendy because of the atmosphere. Also, the Seattle Center and Pikes Place Market are neat things to visit. If you like baseball or just like to people watch, Safeco Field is one of the greatest ball parks in Major League baseball...although our team kind of stinks this year. If you like the water, hop on a ferry and go over to one of the islands. Mountain drives are close too and the list goes on and on.

Almost forgot...you could swing by Kirkland and get a Kineflex disc installed while you were in town.

Great Alaskan salmon at the Pike Market Place.

If you have time, a trip to Paradise on Mt. Ranier would be great or just across Snoquqalmie Pass, stopping at Alpental. Lake Sammamish is pretty as UW's botanical garden. Or a trip on the ferry boat to Windsor w/a view of the Olympic Mtns - wind against your face. I'll stop now..

Good luck, ans
