Default new member questions on fda adr

i cant recall if i intro'd myself or not. i have trouble typing, so bare with me. i have a lot of old damage to my nerve root to my hands/arm from all of the surgeries. on good days, i wil try to use caps. i miss type a lot because i cant hit the keys hard enough. my only real question, is how long will it be before the fda approves adr for people who have had previous fusions and now need ajacent level done? the fusion has really degenerated the level below now. i will NOT have another fusion. i will only consider adr and without fda approval, my insurnac will never pay and i dont have the money. it will adventually ruin my life. they think they are protecting us, but really, they are making life worse. it feels hopeless!

Question

Cheryl, welcome, but I am sorry you are here. Actually, many folks in the US have had multilevel disc replacement, allowed via compassionate use or various means.

What was the cause of your original problems? When did they start? Did you have arthritic conditions before your first spinal surgery?

Default to answer your questions

i had a hyperflexion injury in my young 20's. after a year or so later i was seeing chiroprators, ect. i had two minor car accidents, but was already having issue before. the arthritis did not surface until my first fusion surgery.
