Post surgery's success!
Hello,
I'm very happy to learn more about this community. My fiancé, Héctor, was suffering from a severe low back pain for years and we finally took the decision to have this surgery. So Héctor and I decided to create a blog that would help this community and whoever is in need to read more about our journey and the post recovery. I'm sure any companion would also love to read about the experience of the patient. Check it out Eighteen Days Before Bliss and feel free to leave your feedback here! We are more than happy to open a discussion and to answer questions, thanks to the existence of ADR Support team! |

Congrats on your guys initial results and I wish you the best continued success
I'm wondering about Hector's MRI images on your blog. I noticed that the L1-L2 disc seems to appear quite dark. Did Dr.Clavel mention anything about this disc appearing dehydrated and if it may be threatening, Although it doesn't appear to be herniated or bulging? I have actually very similar MRI as your future hubby (congrats on that too by the way) with annular tears on L5-S1 and L4-L5 but my L2-L3 is very dehydrated with no herniation or bulging also. Thanks for sharing your story, helps me out loads

Thank you so much for your support and your congrats !
Yes, in fact, we found out about L1-L2 disc dehydration (not herniated thankfully) in the last MRI that Hector took before the surgery, which shocked us. But once Dr. Clavel has seen it, he explained to us that as long as he fixes (replaces) the herniated discs L4-L5 and L5-S1, there's nothing to worry about, because then we will assure the spine's 100% mobility. The L1-L2 discs are indeed dehydrated with no herniation, but they're not symptomatic. We hope you feel better soon and that you get the wonderful chance to fix those painful discs! |
