I've been MIA the last few weeks from the forum because my computer caught a virus and my husband refused to call for professional help, therefore, it has taken him a long time to figure out how to get rid of the virus (hopefully its gone)....

The update on me is that I went to see a Neuro Intervention Doctor last week to see if a nucleoplasty would help, even on the L4-5 disc but the consensus seems to be no. I have now faxed over my discogram results and MRI to Dr. Banco at New England Baptist and I'm anxiously waiting for his office to call with an appointment.

Looks like ADR may be the only way to go for me. The big question is whether or not insurance will pay for a 2 level or whether getting one level done now and maybe the other one later is an option or whether I should just pay out of pocket. I guess we'll see what the surgeon says.

Kris,

Glad to see your hubbie doubles as a bug exterminator!

I hope to help in any way I can. Dr. Banco is really helpful -- I hope he can help you get to the right solution!

Let's talk offline at some point...

Hi Kris,
I know what you mean about computer problems I had that when mine was struck by lightning.

It's good to see you back, if you need a 2 level then get the two level done in the one surgery I would think. A lot of tissue and nerves suffer when a revision surgery is done.
Best wishes,
Alastair

Kristine,
Good luck with the Dr.Banco consultation and insurance payment for ADR. Hope that will work out for you and you won't have to pay out of pocket for it~
