Hello All,

My story began a little over 6 years ago (1998)w/a moderate herniation of the L5-S1 disc. The disc has since degenerated completely and now is bone -on- bone w/ all the attendant limitations and pain. I've been talking to Dr. Kingsley Chin - Chief of Orthopedic Surgery - Pennsylvania University Hospital, Philadelphia, PA. who has gone thru the certification process for ADR (Charite). He, it turns out, is still a proponent of and reccomends fussion. In addition, my insurance carrier, Keystone Health plan East (part of IBX) is taking the hard line against ADR. So, here I sit broken hearted.... Any help with a Surgeon/Insurance co. paring would be great.

Thanx

Glenn

Welcome, you have found the best site with great
caring people. DO YOUR RESEARCH before any back
surgery. You will find endless info here. If you can afford it you can send your films to the doctors in europe for an evaluation and opinion
for a minimal fee.
This is no add but Mark at Global Patient network
did all my film transfers to the internet so any doctor with our permission could look at my films.
It was a reasonable price and it worked for me. You can probably do it yourself but if you have a few bucks its much easier with ***.I cant say enough for Mark and as you read this forum you will find out for yourself. I hope you get all your answers here or with some of the great Links
provided on this website.
