I'm going to be on Good Morning America (ABC) Thursday May 25th talking about my ADR and recovery with Dr. Tim Johnson. Hopefully they will air more of the filmed segment that appeared on World News Tonight.

BTW - I was told that they could not show most of the surgery tape because the network will not allow them to show blood during the daytime.

Cool, thx for the update! I'll look for it.

BTW: Nice to know that sex & violence is OK during the day, but informative medical procedures are not allowed.

Saw the short tape, Trish--can't believe you were walking like that only 2 days after surgery...holy cow!

No blood during the day, but Geraldo and Springer and the rest of the trash is ok...

Keep healing.

The producer at ABC said the same thing! lol I WAS suprised at how upset my 8 yr old Nephew was when he say the tape though; he started crying. We had a long talk afterwords to explain it all. I think that's only because he knows me.

They have a lot of video of the disc implanted in my spine. I would have liked to see that. Also, I would have liked for them to explain why ADR could be better than fusion... oh well.

I had my post op today and everythings going smoothly, I'm trying to lay low and rest up for Thursday. Thanks for all the comments.
Tricia

Your future's so bright, I have to wear shades! Thanks for sharing your story about the possbilities with ADR. I am amazed at how many people are still unaware of this procedure. BTW, I also posted a comment on the Dr. Johnson back pain blog.

Hi Trish,

Saw the sequence in Canada. Very happy for you.
Make sure to dance "well" at your sister's wedding.

Wish you all the best.

Tricia, flawless performance – you’re a real natural! My only regret was the brevity of segment. Think about how many hundreds of hours it takes most patients to get to decision points…

Bitan’s comments were interesting regarding surgical outcomes. His words were something like this regarding his patients:

- 60% have no pain at all after surgery;
- 30% experience far less pain and occasionally have symptoms;
- 10% not addressed in the segment.

Tricia, I hope you are part of the 60% -- you already look better! Great job, thanks for keeping us posted.
